This was our proposal for the design contest of the 75th edition of the Festival. The project was born from the idea of merging two symbols of the Locarno Film Festival: the Pardo and the chairs of Piazza Grande. Those objects represent a meeting place where different visions, cultures and ideas can interact. Nowadays, the element of "meeting" is increasingly less present, so we wanted to highlight this aspect and emphasize how the Festival gives this opportunity. The idea was to use the flying chairs in a way that symbolize the leopard spots and evoked a fantastic imagery thanks to their surreal position and spatial interrelation.
